My qualifications comes from my experince in dealing with rehabs, detoxes,new medications for addicts, including the new drug Suboxone and Subutex. I have been heroin addict for over 15 years and have tried every form of treatment there is. I know exactly what goes on in rehabs, methadone maintenance clincs, outpatient programs, detoxes,12 step meetings how they go about treating you, how well they work and what to expect. I know how effective or ineffective each option can be. Personally I always felt more comfortable talking to another addict about treatment then a doctor who has never been through it.
