I can help you with most any task involving data and/or reporting thereon. I have 15 years of experience with SQL, whether used with Crystal Reports, Access, or even other database programs. I'm fluent with Visual Basic, primarily with VBA (MS Office Suite) and VBScript, including writing ADO code for database access.

Experience & Qualifications

32 years of overall IT experience, 26 with a large group health insurance company's IT department. I've been a mainframe computer operator, network troubleshooter, and hardware installation engineer, and have spent the last 15 years in the distributed world in IT "break/fix", from desktop to server to metrics reporting from a problem management system data warehouse. I've installed everything from PC DOS 1.1 to Windows 3.11 to Windows Vista Ultimate on desktops, and NT Server 4.0 to Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition on servers, along with all the ancillaries, including MS Office products, Word Perfect, Lotus 1-2-3, anti-virus (Symantec), anti-spyware (Webroot), Tivoli Monitoring, etc.
The last 4 years of full-time work were as a database design and reporting analyst, with information presentation being a critical success factor. I also did some classic ASP web development in support of the reporting, using ADO code in VBScript.
My most recent contract assignments introduced me to Reporting Services with SQL 2005 and SQL 2008. I can install either SQL Server product, including configuration and deployment of Reporting Services, and make recommendations on how to take advantage of it's capabilities.
