hi! I am a widow, born 1942. Hind sight reveals that I have been steadily getting aquainted with COPD since 1982.(In May 1982, I could jump hot pepper for 3 minutes with no problem. I passed my child developement tests with it. In January, 1983 - I could not jump it at all without being out of breath.) In May 1997, I couldn't walkeven 30 steps. I broke down and went to a doctor, he referred me to pulmonologist. The rest is history. I'm on oxygen 24/7, take plenty of meds, & battled a bout with lung cancer. (i'm 1 year cancer free right now). It's been a battle, but I figure when God wants me, He'll take me - as He did my husband. Until then, He has something for me to do. Maybe it's to say " If you don't SMOKE, Don't Start !! If you do, STOP !!!" Breathe Easy Everyone
