I have no degrees in regards to reading tarot, and I don't find them necessary. I know that classes on tarot have been very helpful for some, and I myself still continue to study the cards. There are uses for those types of courses, but I don't think any piece of paper can determine whether or not you are a good reader. The learning process is different for everyone.

View of Tarot:

I prefer doing tarot readings to help guide people in their choices and situations. While determining future events is part of it, I feel more attention should be put on how to accomplish our goals and what we can gain from events rather than focusing simply on how it turns out. To achieve what we want, I feel it is important to first make changes within ourselves to manifest those results. We are the product of our thoughts and actions. I believe tarot can be used as a mirror to our inner self and provide us with the insight we need to go about fulfilling our goals, and also to heal and transform us internally.

Decks:

I own multiple decks, tarot and oracle. I sometimes use this deck in conjunction with other decks. The following is a list of decks I have at my disposal and that may be requested for use during a reading:

Again, clients can request a specific deck he/she would like for me to use during a session. If a client has no preference over the deck used, I would use which ever deck I feel is most appropriate for the questions asked. If you have any questions on any of the above decks, I will inform you as best as I can.

Follow-up Readings:

A follow-up reading is done after some time has passed over a subject or question addressed in a previous reading. This is to see how things have changed, what progress had been made since then, and what should be focused on now. If you would like a follow-up reading done, I ask that you wait about a month in between the first reading and the follow-up reading, or if the reading was over a specific event, for the follow-up reading to be done shortly after the event has transpired. I keep a record of all readings done for future reference and will look back on the previous reading when doing the follow-up. I will also look back on the previous session's history as well. This is mostly to help me because while the session history tells me what the reading said, the record of the reading itself tells me what cards showed up, what spread I used, and where each card fell and I can compare this with the cards in the follow-up.

I am a self-taught tarot reader. When I was ten years old, I was handed a Rider-Waite deck by my mother and told to learn. I considered that event to be a sign of my mother acknowledging me being mature enough for the task. I had watched my mother do readings all my life and was always mesmerized by the beautiful images in the cards and each card having its own special meaning. When I began to learn for myself, I found it very difficult. The Rider-Waite deck didn't exactly link with me, but I could still understand the meanings of the cards. I still do not use that deck very much as I don't really feel that connected to it. It wasn't until I bought my first deck on my own that I really began to enjoy doing readings. This was the Faeries Oracle, and through that deck, I began to understand how to do readings in a way that suited me. Some decks I find to be too limited and I sought out decks that felt unrestrained, that went more with playfulness and intuition rather than strict rules and formats. Over the years, I constantly was drawn to decks relating to the realm of Faery. It is through that realm that I tap into for guidance during readings and in ordinary daily events as well. I have always felt a strong bond with the Faery realm and I feel as though that bond because stronger with every year.
