At age 8, I began to knock on residential doors selling direct to consumers face to face. I learned a selling secrete then, before I knew the principles behind successful selling. The more doors I knocked on, the more profitable sales I created.
I went on to employment with national companies, was promoted into management several times, and functioned as Director of Sales of the largest Insurance Company in my State.
During my selling career, I recognzed that I possessed the qualities and characteristics of Entrepenuership. I have started several small businesses, and developed multimillions of sales revenue, quickly. Personal Sales in excess of 1 Million.
Eight years ago, I was functioning as a Business Development Specialist for a 30 year old privately held corporation in Iowa. The company was doing 1.6 Million when I got there, and within 18 months, I had added scores of new accounts and the company revenues sored to 2.4 million. The owners sold out.
At 57, no company I submitted resume to would give me a nod; most not even answering my inquires. So, my sons conveniced me to enter the wonderful world of the World Wide Web / Internet E commerce.
I am self taught, never having personally used a computer before then. But, my vast and deep sellling experience and my creative / innovative thinking expertise has led me to a moment in time, where I realize that many people who offer help / services in marketing / sales development simply do not have the background in sales, particularly the face to face kind, to cut through the talk, to show clients they can walk.
Most of the "so-called consultants" have glowing self described back grounds, and actually have been successful in attracting clients who pay them thousands and thousands of dollars to help them increase sales. My question to you is this. If you could actually work with someone who has been on the street for over 40 years, and also possesses a track record of success, that you could work with for far less up front cost, wouldn't that be a fresh new approach to acquiring the help you need?
