As a seasoned Oracle DBA who has performed the traditional functions of a Database Administrator for the past 11 years, I have participated in a wide array of activities in support of multi tier production and development environments. These activities include the installation and configuration of Oracle RDBMS versions 5 through 10 on Windows 2000/3000 Servers and a wide variety of unix platforms, support of PC, LAN and web based applications in FDA validated and non-validated environments. In addition, supported numerous Production database backup and recovery scenarios using SQL*Backtrack and RMAN utilities. Also developed DBA maintenance and productivity tools that manage Oracle databases, and established Oracle security and configuration guidelines and procedures for Unix development and production database environments.
