When I was considering medical school, I realized that the health care professional who had the most contact with patients and could really make a difference was the nurse, so despite the urging of many colleagues, I decided to pursue my degree in nursing and now I am here for you.

Experience & Qualifications

I started my work in 1994 as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant), changing bedpans and taking vitals while finishing up my Bachelor's degree. I obtained my licensure as a registered nurse in 1998. I have been working in the pediatric oncology ward (the ward specializing in childhood cancers) for the past ten years. I have also volunteered my time for my local youth crisis line and have facilitated the organization of a buddy program for seniors in my community.
