I've been a secretary and Dispatcher for over 20 years. Recently I retired from the City of Fremont of 13 years as a Senior Secretary. I was the "Personnel Officer" which means I handled and composed all confidential information for Management signatures. This included letters of discipline, letters of termination and hiring, letters of recommendation,and personnel evaluations. I also screened applicates for temporary positions and arranged interviews. I answered phone calls from the public about City rules and regulations, often from disgruntled and confused residents.
