Shannon Goodwin is a professional career coach and owner of Rise and Shine Consulting. She is passionate about helping people take charge of their careers and find fulfillment in their work. She also works with organizations to implement career development programs that engage employees and achieve organizational success.
Ms. Goodwin has a 20 year corporate background and has held leadership positions in a variety of industries, including financial services, technology, real estate, and customer service. She is a Coach U Graduate and holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Leadership and a B.S. in Communications from The University of Texas at Austin.
Throughout her career, Ms. Goodwin has trained and coached employees, managers and executives in the areas of leadership, talent management, interviewing and selection, time management, communication skills, performance achievement, and team building. She has also worked with companies to implement career development systems and outplacement services.
Ms. Goodwin is a member of the International Coaches Federation (ICF) and the New Jersey Professional Coaches Association (NJPCA). She is a current contributor to the International Association of MBAs (IAMBA). She has conducted workshops on career management and leadership development for the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), and the MBA program at The University of Texas at Austin.
Ms. Goodwin is qualified to administer and facilitate the DiSC and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) instruments. She uses these tools in her work with individuals and teams to identify career possibilities, recognize and build upon strengths, improve communication and address development opportunities. She is also a certified Spanda yoga teacher and uses her background in body-mind-spirit connections to help her clients to take a holistic approach to career planning and marketing.
