Experience & Qualifications
|
My years of experience in the mental health field has led me to a client centered, goal oriented and solutions focused approach to counseling which is grounded in the client's strengths and resources toward growth and success. My career has directed me to work with a wide range of populations and issues from my early years as a kindergarten class assistant and downhill ski teacher, to working with adults with developmental disabilities, and further to my professional work with clinical adult therapy individual clients, couples and families.
I was raised in the rural country of Northern Ontario, Canada by working class parents who ran a local dairy. I have been married for 17 years and have two wonderful children in public school. I have experienced both sides of the counseling experience being both a client and a care provider.
