I own and operate a private practice and work part-time at in-patient rehab and long-term care facilities with aging and serious illness. I am trained in crisis intervention, disaster response, and bereavement counseling and have worked in New York City and New Orleans following large-scale disasters as well as with schools and individuals who have suffered loss or trauma. My theoretical orientation is primarily cognitive behavioral therapy. I am trained in and have practiced Dialectical Behavior Therapy and psychological assessment and have special experience with cancer and serious illness. I am also specially trained in the integration of religious and spiritual issues in treatment.
