My particular expertise lies in the area of transition. All special education students are entitled to special assistance with any aspect of transition. This is especially important for middle and high school students. This includes transition from home to school, grade to grade, and school to what lies beyond--whether it be college, work, or career training.

Experience & Qualifications

I am a former public school employee. My title was Transition Liaison. During my seven years with the school system, I sat in on countless classes, attended and participated in numerous Individualized Education Plan meetings,and worked with literally thousands of students and their families to help ensure a positive experience and outcome. I am also the parent of a special education student who is currently a college freshman. So I have experience from both sides.
