My Expert Service

I offer teaching, tutoring and translating in French at all levels and at the First and Second years/levels of Spanish. I can assist you with your homework, essays, translations, and help prepare you for exams. As a poet and writer I can help you with creative writing as well in both languages or even help you create a poem or story for extra credit. Having lived in France for a semester abroad with the Experiment in International Living based in Brattleboro, VT, I had direct daily contact with the French people and the language. I also have several Spanish speaking friends and have been to Mexico several times. My strongest skills are in French but I am qualified to teach/tutor those in the First or Second Years of their Spanish classes.

Experience & Qualifications

at I received a scholarship from Berea College, Berea, KY in 1979 to study at The University of Caen, in Caen, France (in Normandy) for a semester. I spent a month at the renowned Language School "The Experiment in International Living" in Brattleboro, VT preparing me for my trip abroad. Once in France I studied at the university and lived with a French Family to offer me direct contact with the French people, culture and language. I then travelled for several weeks in Europe thus improving my skills in both French and Spanish. After graduating from college in 1980 I was a full time French and Spanish Teacher at the High School and Middle School levels from 1986 to 1990 teaching at North Knox High School in Bicknell, Indiana in 1986 then at Switzerland County High School in Vevey, Indiana from 1987/1989 and Hughes School in Cincinnati, OH in 1990. From 1990 to 1995 I was a part time and substitute teacher of French and Spanish at the High School, Middle School and Elementary School Levels at many public schools in Cincinnati, OH. I have been a private tutor and translator of French for several years, assisting college, and public school students of all ages.
