Teresa’s approach is eclectic as she draws from many theoretical approaches to counseling. Her pragmatic approach lets her use the approach that she feels will be best for a specific client she emphasizes cognitive behavioral approaches. This approach is an insight-focused therapy that emphasizes recognizing and changing negative thoughts and maladaptive beliefs. Often times this therapy includes systematic desensitization, relaxation techniques and modeling and the use of home assignments.
