2005 - 2006 Co-Founder and Vice President, KTP Enterprises of Louisiana, Inc. Developed business plan for this new venture in Louisiana to produce steel/EPS panelized building system (see EcoThermal Panel Systems, Inc., below) to service builders and developers engaged in reconstruction effort. Prepared and implemented marketing plan and materials, contacted builders and developers, worked with local and state economic agencies, participated in plant selection, purchased machinery and equipment, designed and built machinery unique to the fabrication process, hired, trained and supervised production staff.
1999-2005 Co-founder (with two partners) and Vice President, EcoThermal Panel Systems, Inc., Saylorsburg, PA. Developed a new super-insulated panelized building system for residential and light commercial installations. Responsibilities included product development, sales and marketing, product pricing, materials purchasing, production machinery design and building, manufacturing operations and customer service.
1989 – 2001 President and owner, VOL Corp., Mountaintop, PA. In March, 1989, obtained subdivision approval and incorporated VOL to develop 108 single-family lots at The Village of Laurel Lakes, a residential community in Rice Township, Luzerne County, PA. Completed all infrastructure improvements by 1990, project completed in 2001.
1986 – 1999 President and owner, Mount Eaton Corp., Easton, PA. In September, 1986, incorporated Mount Eaton to develop Foxcroft, a residential townhouse community in Wilson Borough, PA consisting of 101 units. Obtained subdivision approval, and sales and construction started in November, 1986. Project successfully completed in June, 1988, with $8,200,000 in sales. Subsequently operated Mount Eaton Corp. as a contract builder of single-family homes at The Village of Laurel Lakes.
1983 – 1986 President and Co-founder, Atlantic Solar Technologies, Inc. Hopewell Junction, NY, exclusive distributors for eastern New York of the Grumman Sunstream solar products. Recruited, trained and supervised ten installation crews and 37 salespeople to service our Hopewell and Albany offices. Designed and implemented a direct mail lead generation program that induced more than 21,000 prospects to attend our sales seminars. Atlantic Solar became Grumman Corporation’s largest single distributor nationwide, selling and installing over 1,250 systems totaling $8,100,000 in sales. Atlantic Solar discontinued sales operations in January, 1986 to coincide with the expiration of the 40% federal and 15% NY state tax credits for renewable energy.
1981- 1983 Account Executive, then National Sales Manager, Markdata, Inc., Pittston, PA, providing direct mail advertising and lead generation programs for various industries throughout the US, Canada and the United Kingdom.
