My Expert Service

Known to students, teachers, parents and school districts as the NASA Lady, Pamela Greyer has established herself as a leader in creating and delivering unique K-12 STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) programs and activities. As a public school teacher, Pam currently directs a K-12, district-wide, NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) educational program in Chicago. In 1994 when the Internet was in its infancy, Pamela became a Digital Education and Technology consultant to the Neighborhood Learning Network providing technology training to students, teachers and the community to bridge the Digital Divide. Pamela's workshops and classroom integration models included cutting-edge training on using computers, the World Wide Web, and creating media rich lessons and presentations with audio, video and software tools. In 2001, Pamela became the Lead Technology Teacher for the NASA Saturday Academy for Space Science at Chicago State University working closely with renowned scientists and astronomers. Building on this experience, Pamela became actively engaged in informal science education consulting as well as delivering astronomy outreach programs in Chicago and at the University of Chicago Yerkes Observatory. In 2004, Pamela became the Director of a K-12 NASA educational program which has allowed her to expand program offerings to include aviation and aerospace curriculum activities in the NASA Aeronautics Education Laboratory. Pamela has expanded program offerings which focuse on engineering opportunities and created awareness of and participation in STEM career fields for K-12 students in robotics, nanotechnology, and other STEM fields. Pamela combines her backgrounds in communication/media production with science and technology to increase STEM literacy skills through innovative programs, workshops, and activities.
