Professional short term, solution focused counseling services focusing on improvement of self esteem, skill building, coping skills, relationship skills, problem solving skills, and other skills as needed to support you. I can assist individuals with bouts of depression, anxiety, bereavement, and other stressors in their lives.
In the first contact, I provide a brief assessment to determine the scope and history of the challenge that you're facing and to determine the best course of action. Please note that this occurs by Live chat only.

Experience & Qualifications

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and I have 6 years post masters experience working with children, adolescents, and families. While completing my masters degree, I worked with severely emotionally disturbed children and adolescents in a school setting, providing art therapy groups to address mental health issues. I have experience working with the severely mentally ill adolescent and adult population, bereavement, mood disorders, relationship issues/interpersonal issues, anxiety disorders, and personality disorders.
I believe very strongly in a strengths based approach, and have spent many years working with people from this framework. I have also spent a great deal of time completing thorough biopsychosocial assessments in a time limited fashion because I believe that the whole person deserves to be treated, not just the issue they're facing.
I also have a background in working with those struggling with addiction and substance abuse issues, particularly those who have been dually diagnosed with a substance abuse issue as well as a mental health diagnosis.
