My Expert Service
|
|
In my profession as a Registered Nurse I have acquired excellent patient care skills with an affinity for patient education. I have been successful with educating patients about disease processes, medical interventions, and lifestyle management of their conditions. I have performed this skill in the clinical setting, as well as via telephone, as a Telephone Advice Nurse, and in patients' homes, as a Home Health Nurse. My main patient demographic has consisted of Adults and Geriatric patients; and the medical conditions most common in these groups: Cardiovascular Conditions such as HTN, CAD, CHF, and CVA/Stroke. Also, Diabetic conditions such as Hyperglycemia, Hypoglycemia and Dietary Management. In addition, I've worked with patients with Respiratory conditions such as COPD and Asthma. As a Registered Nurse, I have implemented care plans and managed patients' care for recovery from exacerbations of these medical conditions, as well as assisted patients with preventative measures to avoid/or decrease episodes of exacerbation, thus improving their overall quality of life.
