Marriage is multifaceted, and I have fifteen years of experience in marriage and family counseling within a church setting. I will be able to help you logically figure out your various dilemmas. I provide individual, couples, family, and group therapy for adults as well as adolescents experiencing depression, anxiety disorders, life skills, adjustment disorders, parenting issues, family issues, childhood issues, trauma, abuse, loss/grief/bereavement, women’s issues, co-dependency, relationship issues, self-esteem, anger management, stress management.
I am a female African-American and a minister and, therefore, am very familiar and sensitive to issues dealing with culture. My main focus in with clients who have relationship issues I assist them in gaining and maintain control in their lives regardless of current or previous issues. My goal is to help you learn how to handle these issues in a more appropriate manner than in the past. I use a variety of approaches depending on which one is applicably to the individual client and family members. Some of these to name a few are solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral, structural, supportive, strategic and family systems.
