Do you find Science in general to be a cold, harsh set of facts that make the anvil drop onto your head but never let you fly?
Do you find physics to be the most boring thing you have come across (even beating the "these are bad times" lecture you hear from everyone nowadays?)
Do you think that mathematical derivations are made by weirdoes in lab-coats and can't possibly be any useful to your plain not-so-average fun-loving self?
Ok.
I think this little theory of what everything is made up of might force you to give the whole thing another shot.
The theory goes that if you take an object, let’s say a cookie and divide it into two you get two smaller pieces of cookies right? Now you keep taking one half and keep dividing it into two (doesn’t matter how :) we'll get to that latter) until you have the tiniest piece of cookie that you can possible attain right? Divide it further and you'll get down to tiny portions of its ingredients. Keep dividing them indefinitely until you're down to atoms. You divide those too and you'll probably end up getting common particles like electrons, protons, quarks and mesons etc. Now you divide those into two (it's not possible yet but we're in it) indefinitely and a point will come where you'll be left with absolutely nothing right? Something divided by infinity is zero right? Now try going backwards and you'll notice that the first things you'll be joining would be two units of "nothing" to get the basic unit which makes "everything". And hence the theory......Every thing is made out of.....nothing.
Think about it.
Now I know there are a lot of loose ends in this theory which is partially because i simplified it and largely because there are MANY loose ends in Science which is where things such as Religion take over. Every thing is intertwined and to me understanding the nature of things around you will help you discover, understand and sometimes bypass the link.
This is how I teach.
I hope to hear from you soon.
