Systems Specialist TELENOR Pakistan (20th June 2008 till now)
TELENOR Pakistan is second largest fastest growing Telecom mobile operator with 27 million subscribers in Pakistan. It is most important member of TELENOR GROUP (www.telenor.com) which is a leading telecommunications services provider worldwide. Currently I am working as Systems Specialist and key areas of my responsibility are following.
UNIX Operations
? Optimized & customized configuration of Sun Solaris 10 on SUN SPRAC based systems (M5000, SF E6900, E6800, V890, V490 T2000, T5142 etc).
? Configured and managed operations on SUN Cluster “3.1 & 3.2”, MPXIO, IPMP and kernel configurations for Solaris 10 & 9, Furthermore enabled monitoring or Oracle databases, listeners and third party applications though GDS cluster scripts.
? Administered and optimized VERITAS Storage foundation (volume manager and File systems), VCS cluster for monitoring Databases and application HA, Online File system extension and management of VXVM for cross platform.

? Accomplished HP-UX performance monitoring by using kernel tuning, configuration of OS Patch clusters on different version of HP-UX 11i like v2 and v3 and DRD clones.
? Managed operations related to NFS, NTP, SAMBA, CIFS, ISCSI & FC storage protocols and services.
? Configured striped logical volumes for better IO performance, furthermore achieved IO load balancing and storage HA for high end applications like SIEBEL CRM using LVM alternative paths and Auto/Power path.
? Adapted IGNITE UX for OS disaster recovery; configured Hp Secure/auto Path, EMC power path, HP APA, IP Filters, RSH, trusted systems for systems security purpose.
