I am Urmila Bhargava, born in December 1938, in Meerut. I now I reside in Jaipur.
Stars always fascinated me. And when my stars were under the cloud, I went to an eminent astrologer in Bikaner, Pt Ram Prasad Sahal, who could peep in to my destiny through Stars. He had an awe-inspiring presence. Instead of asking about my future I asked him, Sir, please look in to my chart and tell me whether I can learn this wonderful science?” He simply said, “Come from next Thursday.”
That is how my journey to learn this “Paravidya” began. That was February 1976. But I could avail of this wonderful opportunity only for a month or so because we had to shift to another city. There also I was fortunate enough to meet my second Guru, Pt Gauri Shankar Shastri, but again the period of learning was very brief.
After that I continued my self-study of Astrology. I am M. Sc. in Zoology and I never studied so hard in my educational career as I did to learn this remarkable Vidya. But the path of my astrological journey was strewn with many hindrances and black periods.
In February 1998, I had the good luck to meet Shri K.N. Rao. Since then I am trying to gather some pearls from this vast ocean of Astrology through the unfathomable knowledge, teaching and guidance of my Guru Sir Rao sahib.
