Financial Accounting and Reporting: I have the expertise in financial accounting and reporting,the details of which is as follows. Basic accounting issues including introduction to business and accounting theory, introduction to double entry, the final accounts of sole trader and partnership, receipts and payments accounts & accounts from incomplete records, accounts of limited companies, valuation of stock and bank reconciliation statements.
Advanced accouting issues such as consolidation of financial statements, treatment of financial instruments, ratio analysis and comparison of the financial statements, preparation of the cash flow statements(direct and indirect methods),treatment of accounting errors, construction contracts, treatment of deferred taxation, segment reporting, treatment of property, plant & equipment, leasing contracts, formulation of accounting policies, treatment of post employment benefits, accounting for grant, accounting for foreign transactions, treatment of borrowing cost, calculation of simple and diluted EPS,accounting for impairment of fixed assets, accounting for research and development, accounting for investment properties and agricultural products and other reporting and accounting related issues.
Quantitative Methods: Basic mathematics, fiancial mathematics including computation of interest and net present value and matrix. Economic and Finance Economic concepts, microeconomics, macroeconomics, international trade, fiscal and monetary policies, Business Communication and Business Management. Principles of effective business communication, communication methods and skills, Business messages, report and proposal writing, motivation, leadership, conflict and negotiation, human resource management, total quality management, marketing areas and international trade.
Management and Cost Accounting . Basic cost accounting concepts including accounting for material, labour and overheads. Marginal and absorption costing.Manufacturing accounts and cost of sales. Planning and control including all types of budgets, standard costing and variance. Decision making including opportunity cost, relevant cost, make or buy decisions, pricing for special orders and utilization of capacity. Auditing Basic concepts and general principles of audit, planning and conduct of audit, audit conclusions and practical exposure of international auditing standers.
Financial Analysis: Calculation of Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), CAPM, Financial risk management.
Auditing: Proficient in all Internal Standards of Auditing.
Financial Reporting: Strong grip over International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Experience & Qualifications

I have qualified my chartered accountancy under the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) and have done my articles in KPMG, Pakistan; where I had the opportunity to perform audit and assurance of various organizations. I worked there for three and a half years. I was assigned on the audit of various organizations for Telecom, Manufacturing and NGO,s sector.
I worked in A.F. Fergusons & Co, Chartered Accountants (A member firm of PriceWaterHouseCoopers), Islamabad as an Assistant Manager for Taxation, Corporate and Consultancy services.
Currently I am working in IBM Pakistan as a senior financial consultant in Global Business Services Department for ERP and business advisory services. I fetch a hard earned experience of over five years in accounts and finance.
