My core expertise is in delivering robust scalable server class solutions involving Java. This includes building Java servers from scratch, which may require implementing network protocols (sometimes standard and sometimes non standard).
I also have extensive experience in building scalable J2EE solutions involving standard J2EE technologies (EJB, Servlets, JSPs, JMS etc.) I have very good experience in building JMF solutions involving SIP and RTP.
I can help in developing the architecture, design and implementation and in reviewing architecture, design and code (Java code only).
I have worked extensively with the Nuance Voice Platform (NVP) for designing VoiceXML based solutions.
I run an open source project called ParfumBall which is an Eclipse plugin for capturing network packets. Look up the project on SourceForge. This should give you an idea on the quality of the design and code that I usually deliver.
I am willing to undertake Java design and/or programming project assignments.
I can help with JavaScript, HTML scripting also. I have passing familiarity with reading Windows and Symbian code.

Solid experience of over 14 years in the I.T. industry. I have worked (and am working) in fairly senior positions and am responsible for deliveries under tight budgets and delivery schedules.

Architected, designed and led the implementation of a MIDP multimodal client API for the IP voice platform.

Architected, designed and led the implementation of the IP voice based multimodal platform. Conceived and led the implementation of several innovative ideas for integrating multimodal clients with several browsers on both Microsoft Windows Mobile Edition and Symbian based devices to provide a rich multimodal user experience.

Architected, designed and led the implementation of an application for combining voice and SMS messaging. I am the co-inventor of two patents related to this application.

Architected, designed and developed an IM (Instant Messaging) server with a clustered architecture, Thread pools, Non-blocking I/O, 60K plus network connections, extensive code reuse, JDBC, Logging API, Config API, Pluggable Authentication, SMTP, LDAP, JNDI, JSSE, SSL etc.
