Websites
I have had to design, develop and incorporate ideas from staff within the company I work for, working closely with senior management to produce informative, easily navigable, eye catching websites. The websites were data driven and were developed in ASP, HTML, SQL (Stored Procedures), and Dreamweaver.
I uploaded on to the company website specific newsletters, and monthly PDF files sent in by Consultants and Business Analysts out in the field. I had to check the content of the files before I would allow them to be put on the site. If the need arose, I would rewrite and edit the articles, making sure that it contained only relevant information regarding the company, and did not contain misleading or inappropriate content. The images and graphics within the site were changed or created using Fireworks, Paintshop Pro, and Photoshop.
Applications
I was also involved in the Administrative Upkeep of the SQL Servers and any general faults. At the same time my IT Manager gave me the opportunity to develop in-house applications for the company, this involved discussing the deliverables with the end users, developing a specification, and timeline of events including documentation. I developed the applications in MS Access, which were tested by the users. I then upsized the applications to SQL server and used an Access front-end to ODBC link to the SQL servers. I was responsible for the documentation of the projects and used Microsoft packages such as Visio, and MS Project for the duration of the project life cycle.
