Sometimes life deals us blows that we cannot decipher on our own. No matter how hard we try, we can't see the forest through the trees.
I personally know how it feels to be given a timeframe(s) for events that are supposed to come to pass and they don't. Do you ever find yourself having one foot in the door and one foot out, because you are so afraid that if you take that one last step forward, you might accidentally close that door and ruin all chances that you were told you would have? But while you are doing that, you are not fully living your life. You are not opening yourself up to wonderful things that God places in front of you, because you are so busy remembering the past, and hoping for tomorrow, that you aren't living in today. And then you find yourself realizing all the time that you lost, and you can never get back. I want to help you live in today, so you won't have regrets.
