My Expert Service
M.Div. In my 12 years of practice, I have worked with people suffering from depression, anxiety, PTSD, childhood sexual abuse, stress, relationship issues, grieving loss, feelings of futility and hopelessness, addiction, HIV/AIDS, among other things.
People come to therapy with strengths and resources as well as difficulties. Identifying and building on those strengths provides a solid base from which to explore the roots of the problem(s).
Therapy is a process of getting to know how you have made sense of the world and how you have been shaping your feelings and behavior to meet its demands. If your world has changed, your previous coping mechanisms may now be unsuited to your current life. In addition, it is also two people journeying together~ exploring the unconscious in a place that is safe. Confidentiality applies to what has been shared.
