As part of your targeting, you want to know what your visitors searched for to arrive at your website, in order to better personalize engagements for them. For example, if a visitor searched for a “gas grill under $200” you can target these keywords and create an engagement to offer products that match this search.
Add the “Search keywords” condition box on the “Add new target audience” screen. Type in the relevant keywords (in this example, “gas grill under 200$”). This will target all the visitors who searched for this phrase in all search engines, except for Google.
If you want to target visitors that searched for the keywords in Google Search, then you have to manually configure the ValueTrack in each ad to send LiveEngage the keywords under the query string parameter name “keyword”. Make sure to use only “keyword” as the parameter name.
