Holiday shopping trends point to AI and messaging for in-store and ecommerce
Holiday shopping is set to look a little different in 2021, with consumers changing their habits and brands dealing with an ongoing labor shortage. Over 2,500 shoppers from the US, UK, and Australia participated in a holiday shopping trends survey to share the ways they’d like to interact with brands when shopping online and in stores this season.
Messaging options — including SMS, WhatsApp, Apple Business Chat, Facebook Messenger, and brand websites and apps — are viewed as a trusted way to shop, and the vast majority of shoppers say they’ll actually purchase more from brands that let them message.
