Not a Popularity Contest: LivePerson Named a Top Workplace in Atlanta!
We’re excited and proud to announce that we’ve been named to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s list of 2016 Top Workplaces! This designation is especially important to us since it’s based solely on employee feedback. The award reflects our culture, which allows us to attract the best talent out there and helps us be an exceptional place to work.
"The Top Workplaces Award is not a popularity contest," says Doug Claffey, CEO of WorkplaceDynamics, the research firm that administered the employee survey. "Who better to ask about work life than the people who live the culture every day — the employees? Time and time again, our research has proven that what's most important to them is a strong belief in where the organization is headed, how it's going to get there, and the feeling that everyone is in it together. [...] Without this sense of connection, an organization doesn't have a shot at being named a top workplace."
We value employee feedback, from Glassdoor reviews to input on internal initiatives. We even designed and created our culture-driven office spaces by committee and use connection and communication in how we review, acknowledge, and promote our employees!
Day in, day out, the folks at LivePerson embody our core values — be an owner and help others — to create meaningful connections...between us and our customers and between our customers and the consumer. But we also know it’s important to foster a strong bond between employees. Our outstanding employees are the heart and soul powering our company, and we are thrilled they feel so positively in return.
Here are just a few things some LivePersons have to said about why they show up and stick around, which attributed to this award (and others).
“The people are wonderful. When possible, they are encouraging, and it seems like everyone wants the core values to drive the company.”
“Hands down, some of the best people you can ever work with are here at this company. Folks are generally really smart and always eager and willing to help answer any questions. People truly believe in and embody the 'meaningful connections' and 'be an owner' mantra. I really can't emphasize this enough.”
“I have some flexibility with my schedule. I like my colleagues. The benefits are outstanding.”
“If you like to own your work, help others make their work better, connect with your coworkers and clients in a meaningful way, have your work actually make a difference and be recognized for it, and do all of this without being micromanaged, this is the place for you!”
“[LivePerson] allows me to be surrounded by different people from all walks of life.”
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution award comes at the heels of LivePerson being named among Crain’s Best Places to Work in NYC last December and our onboarding program Inspire listed as a finalist for “Best Idea.”
"We are honored to be named among the 2016 Top Workplaces in Atlanta, and it shows that our mission of creating meaningful connections is truly being lived out in our company culture," says John Hanger, general manager of Contact At Once!, a LivePerson company.
Contact At Once! has won this award three times previously, but this is the first year it’s been recognized by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution since being fully incorporated into LivePerson. It comes at an excellent moment for us as well: We’re poised to move into a brand-new, state-of-the-art office with an innovative open design at Alpharetta’s Avalon Park next month. "We have rapidly expanded our presence in metro Atlanta and are excited to have our entire team in one space with room to grow," John elaborates.
We’d like to thank all of our employees in Georgia — and around the world — for truly embodying our core values and making LivePerson the amazing place it is. Our goal is to be known as the best place to work everywhere LivePerson has an office. Let the world domination continue!
Want to know more about creating an awesome, culture-driven workplace like ours? On Thursday, March 31, come to a LivePerson-hosted event in our New York headquarters, where we’ll team up with CultureIQ to cover why connection is so critical to success...and how companies can do it better. It’s free and open to the public. RSVP here.
