Take the Chill Out of Your Holiday Code Freeze

It’s that time of year again, time for the holiday code freeze! For those of you who may not be aware, a code freeze happens for many websites during times of busy traffic, such as holiday time, to minimize any risk for errors or downtime that could have an adverse impact on sales or the customer web experience.

For many online retailers, the holiday code freeze is considered a “necessary evil”—a cost of doing business.  While it’s a common practice among e-tailers, it often leaves marketing, merchandising, and customer service departments unable to swiftly and effectively react to the dynamic business needs of the holiday season.

But what if there were a way to deliver targeted messaging without touching a single line of code? My colleague Barry Lamm explains how this is possible:

Nearly a year ago, we launched LP Marketer, our award-winning website personalization and behavioral targeting solution.  Since that time, the solution has delivered some truly amazing results for our clients.  And now, those same clients are enjoying a new-found liberation from their site’s holiday code freeze!  Because, in most cases, the solution leverages the exact same chat tags already placed in their code, they are able to easily alter their customers’ experiences and deliver new, targeted content at any time with no involvement from IT.

For these clients, the holiday code freeze is no longer a cost of doing business during their most important time of year.  Click to learn more and set up a demo with the LivePerson team!
